NXW2.1P05 - Real-Time Vessel Berth Optimal Makespan Scheduling System

An intelligent decision-support system, integrate in the Control Tower, that optimizes berth allocation and quay crane assignment to minimize the overall handling durations at container terminals. The system integrates real-time vessel position data through external APIs, predicts sailing time from anchorage to berth, estimates terminal operation durations, and considers quay crane availability, vessel dimensions, and operational constraints. Advanced optimization algorithms generate globally efficient schedules and resource allocations, enabling terminal operators to reduce waiting times, improve berth utilization, increase operational throughput, and enhance the overall efficiency and resilience of port operations. The system can also compute vessels collision risks.
